Library & Research
Our mission, to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information, reflects the American Library Association's goal outlined in Information Power: Guidelines for School and Library Media Programs. This mission is accomplished by:
- Providing physical and electronic access to materials
- Providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing and using information and ideas
- Working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students
Collaborative Approach
Our libraries have adopted a collaborative approach to instruction. Together, the teacher librarian and the classroom or specials teacher plan and deliver Jeffco curriculum. This instructional partnership results in successful resource-based units that broaden the use of resources and promote information literacy.
